Perry Street Social Club which has been in existence for over 100 years. The club was founded in 1899 although there is an unconfirmed belief that it may have been 1895. It was originally founded by the Small & Tidmas Lace Factory as a workers’ club before being taken over by its members on October 7, 1899.
The club provides social and recreational activities for its members and families and new members are always welcome. Children are welcome in the club until 9:30pm Saturday to Thursday and until 11:30pm on a Friday.
It is very easy to become a member. Just call into the club, ask the bar staff for a form, give your completed form, with your membership fee and receive your members card. The membership fee is £12.50 to join and then £10.00 per annum thereafter, subject of course to any fee revision, and renewals are to be paid by Jan 31st.
